Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Towne Place Suites Sudbury (InnVest Hotels Limited). As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a dust-free environment.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Make beds and change sheets to ensure a clean and comfortable sleeping environment.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guests.
  • Stock linen closets to ensure a sufficient supply of linens.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Handle and report lost and found items to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items to provide excellent customer service.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean changing rooms and showers to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Perform repetitive tasks to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work in a team environment, requiring excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Weight Handling
  • Handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
Personal Suitability
  • Be punctual and reliable to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Use good judgement to make decisions that benefit the hotel and its guests.
  • Be organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Be a team player, working collaboratively with other staff members to achieve common goals.
