About the Role:

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a skilled Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join our team at the Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre. As a Board Certified Veterinary Medical Oncologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our oncology team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat cancer patients with a range of treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in oncology and share knowledge with the team
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring of interns and residents

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology (ACVIM)
  • Eligibility for licensure in Alberta
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
