At ProSidian Consulting, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Air Quality Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and air quality management.

About the Role

This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing environmental assessment documents and policies from federal, state, and local agencies to determine the geographic reach and scope of infrastructure project impacts on environmental justice communities.

The selected candidate will contribute to detailed reports that integrate environmental justice and equity into FERC processes, aligning with the agency's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze environmental assessment documents and policies from federal, state, and local agencies to identify impacts on environmental justice communities related to infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of air quality, air pollution, air permitting, and air emissions in the context of FERC-regulated energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental justice considerations are integrated into FERC processes and decision-making.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on air quality regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and conclusions related to the geographic scope of environmental justice impacts.

The salary for this role is estimated at $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree or higher in Air Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of air quality regulations, air pollution control technologies, and air permitting processes.
  • Familiarity with environmental justice principles and their integration into regulatory processes.
