Baker Job Description

Chef Reza Inc is seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes. You will also be responsible for requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Draw up production schedules
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity
  • Overtime required
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
