Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Arts Technician to join our team at Printocraft. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality visual content and assisting in the design and layout of our printed materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mount and scan photographs using specialized equipment
  • Design and layout pages for print production, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Make stencil patterns and set type for printing
  • Arrange for project printing and publication, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors
  • Digitize images using peripherals and transform them using retouching systems, graphic palettes, or specialized software
  • Perform layout, page make-up, and placement using conceptual mock-ups provided by the graphic designer
  • Produce computerized images and drawings, ensuring high-quality output
  • Review the graphic designer's instructions and provide feedback as needed
Work Environment

As a Graphic Arts Technician at Printocraft, you will work in a fast-paced printing shop environment, requiring attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, and strong organizational skills. Overtime may be required to meet tight deadlines, and you must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience
