U-Haul Team Member

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services, providing solutions to their needs and addressing any concerns.
- Use smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services, promoting U-Haul's offerings and benefits.
- Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Install hitches and trailer wiring, ensuring safe and secure connections.
- Fulfill propane and forklift duties, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University, staying up-to-date on products, services, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
