Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Movement Therapist - Occupational Rehab Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in promoting client healing and improving recovery time.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform ergonomic assessments, POETs, work hardening, and facilitating FCEs. This position offers opportunities to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians and provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
  • Design, implement, and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs
  • Biweekly reassess client progress through functional testing
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart
Qualifications
  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
  • Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
Salary and Benefits

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
