Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team at Assumption School. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained, performing regular checks on the vehicle's condition.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding bus schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
  • Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Excellent driving skills and habits.
  • Ability to read maps and navigate.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Positive and caring approach to students and ability to manage student behavior.
  • Ability to be organized, punctual, and reliable.
  • Willingness to work split shifts and provide service for activities during the school day.
  • Ability to drive in a variety of road and traffic conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current pastoral reference indicating active involvement in a Catholic parish.
  • Commitment to excellence in Catholic education.
  • Valid First Aid certification.
