Job Description

Rainbow Six Siege is a highly successful competitive online tactical shooter that has consistently delivered new content and features over the past eight years.

The Rainbow Six Brand Tech Team works closely with the Siege team to implement technical improvements, evolve the core tech stack, and enable the teams to continue delivering high-quality experiences to players.

We have ambitious plans for the future of Rainbow Six, and we're looking for talented individuals who are willing and able to tackle the technical challenges ahead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the technical vision for the project's Engine team and plan its technical roadmap.
  • Meet regularly with the programming team to discuss progress, tackle setbacks, and share updates.
  • Mentor and motivate programmers to develop their technical skills and provide them with the necessary tools and resources.
  • Write efficient and customized code for the hardware being used.
  • Provide technical oversight by reviewing code and making technical validations.
  • Anticipate and assess complex issues and propose adapted solutions.
  • Synchronize with other technical leads to remove blockers and keep production moving forward.
  • Communicate with interdependent teams to exchange information.
  • Stay up-to-date on technological advancements and industry standards to define best practices and share them with the studios.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of programming experience in C++.
  • A deep understanding of game engines, systems, programming languages, interdependencies, and critical issues.
  • The ability to make informed decisions with minimal long-term impacts.
  • A strategic approach to problem-solving, focusing on preventing issues rather than just patching them.
  • Excellent mentorship, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • A highly innovative and collaborative spirit.
  • Effective cross-departmental communication and the ability to break down complex information for various audiences.
  • A desire to share knowledge and help others improve their skills.
