Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at The MEARIE Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, managing teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all P&C and Automation services employed by The MEARIE Group, ensuring accurate results and commissioning services along with overall service excellence.
  • Review Station Build design packages prepared by our Engineering partners prior to the construction phase, attending design review meetings with end customers and engineering partners.
  • Manage and approve technical reports, including P&C, standard substation maintenance, commissioning, IR scanning, and ensure high-level QC.
  • Oversee and manage personnel with specialty services that The MEARIE Group currently employs, including transformer testing, switchgear testing, and partnership cable testing with overall commissioning services and support internally.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated with technological advancements and industry trends, fostering professional development among team members, providing training opportunities and mentoring.
  • Build and develop a broader engineering service, including short circuit, arc flash, and overall support for The MEARIE Group's design-build projects.
  • Develop and provide leadership within the Technical Services Group, representing The MEARIE Group with consulting engineers, fostering a high-quality and efficient strategy towards pioneering solutions.
  • Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, assisting in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, controlling costs, and identifying areas for cost-saving measures.
  • Continuously improve engineering processes, seeking efficiency gains and optimizing workflows.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with teams, clients, stakeholders, and present complex technical information clearly.
  • Capacity to develop and execute long-term plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations or when facing complex technical challenges.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
