About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at FoxRiver Logistics. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other essential systems.
  • Logistics and Route Planning: Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery of goods, while also considering factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of transportation operations.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately record and maintain all relevant documentation, including driver logs, inspection reports, and cargo information.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Communication Systems: Proficient in operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Long-haul experience preferred.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance and a valid driver's licence.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, judgement, organized, and reliable.
