About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Operations Manager to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences in our community-based store.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years of retail management experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth, leading by example, and supporting corporate programs. You will be responsible for managing labor scheduling effectively, leveraging Work Force Management (WFM) to maximize productivity, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations: Maintain optimal store conditions to enhance customer experience, drive traffic, and boost profitability. Collaborate with management to ensure consistency in store standards across all areas, including the backroom.
  • Human Resources: Adhere to Human Resources guidelines, conduct hiring and support for departments excluding Pharmacy, and conduct probationary reviews for new hires and annual staff performance evaluations.
  • Finance: Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and address discrepancies between planned and actual results using the FSM Monitoring Report. Achieve period, quarterly, and annual targets, set departmental goals to motivate employees, and develop strategies to enhance business efficiency at the store.
