Anderson First Rate Contracting is seeking a skilled Drywaller to join our team. As a Drywaller, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including insurance restoration repairs, reading blueprints and designs, and using a lift to place ceiling panels. You will also be responsible for preparing panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing. Additionally, you will measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels, and fasten drywall to walls or ceilings. You will also use trowels to spread compound, apply paper tape, and smooth away excess material. You will be required to cover nail and screw depressions with compound, apply second and third coats of compound, and sand areas after each coat. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina, as they will be required to lift 50 lbs. They will also be required to keep their work area clean, follow instructions, and work well within a team. A current BC driver's license, a clean driver's abstract, and a reliable vehicle are also required.
