We're seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Vancouver office and contribute to high-energy-efficiency projects and building decarbonization initiatives.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in HVAC and other mechanical engineering aspects for buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Review: Prepare and review plumbing and HVAC schematics, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and control programs.
  • Project Management: Lead or supervise the design of commercial, residential, and institutional projects from conceptual stages to completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform and review heating and cooling ventilation calculations, utilizing industry-leading software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain business relationships with clients, including business development and liaison activities.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A recognized mechanical engineering degree and P. Eng. designation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical buildings engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
  • Strong self-motivation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and adherence to Canadian codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in commercial building automation systems and DDC control systems.

The expected salary for this position ranges between $105,440 and $131,800, depending on your level of experience, training, skills, and internal equity within the organization.
