Job Title: Metal Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at AVILION METALCRAFT LTD. As a key member of our metal fabrication team, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication of metal products, including operating metal cleaning equipment, immersing metal products in cleaning solutions, and assisting structural steel and platework fitters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in the fabrication process.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to ensure efficient production.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to transport materials and products.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish to meet customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and deadlines.
  • Reliability and dependability to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding work requiring standing for extended periods.
  • Handling heavy loads and working in a large workload environment.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling capacity.
