About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-in Caregiver to join our team at NYW - Private Home. As a Live-in Caregiver, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry, cleaning, and organization.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation, such as reading, watching movies, or playing games.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Accompany clients on errands and shop for groceries and household supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a certificate or diploma program in a related field, such as gerontology or disability studies.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with elderly or individuals with disabilities is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Availability: Availability to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
