Job Summary:

VCA Canada is seeking a skilled Veterinarian, DVM to join our team at Burnham Mansion Animal Hospital. As a successful candidate, you will have a strong understanding of animal behavior and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to animals, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account the individual needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through ongoing education and training
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear and compassionate advice on animal care and health

Requirements:

  • Valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
  • Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional advice
  • Dedication to promoting team-based medicine practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet owners, and community
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
  • Interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues
  • Love for all companion animals
