Friends Concrete Cutting Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in this exciting opportunity.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Carpenter to work on various construction projects, including renovation and maintenance of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, be physically fit, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites.
  • Instructing apprentices.
  • Estimating costs and materials.
  • Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
  • Criminal record check.
Work Conditions:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Tight deadlines.
Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and location.
