We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kinesiologist to join our team at pt Health. As a Kinesiologist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their health and wellness goals.
About the RoleThis is a permanent, full-time position that will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians and provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases. You will be responsible for performing biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs
- Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
- Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
- Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
- Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
- Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
- Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart
- Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program
- 2+ years of experience considered an asset
- Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
