Job Summary:

The Collector/Gatehouse position is a key role within RLC Park Services, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of park revenue collections. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage cash transactions, handle customer inquiries, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect revenue from park campground users, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Handle Discover Camping Reservations, allocating sites and registering reservation holders.
  • Provide information to current and potential park users, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of the permit area.
  • Perform cash handling duties, including making new floats, cashing out, and depositing money and cash-out sheets in the safe.
  • Liaise with BC Parks office and local tourism centers to inform them of campground attendance and available space.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently with cash transactions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
