Electrical Engineer for Vehicle Integration and Development

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for Vehicle Integration and Development to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our electrical vehicle power unit integration team, you will be responsible for developing and designing HV powertrain components and integrating them into various vehicles.
About the Role:- You will be responsible for the technical compliance of the item internally and serve as the main BRP technical contact for the supplier.
- You will define priorities for electrical validation and test technicians/team during the item's validation and commissioning phase and identify necessary tests during internal vehicle level physical testing.
- You will follow up the ITEM until it reaches the assembly line for end-of-line and assembly sequence, identifying risks and solutions for the assembly of the item on the vehicle.
- You will be responsible for the item technical requirement specification, the item's validation plan, and technical maturity reporting.
- You will participate in internal DFMA analysis for the ITEM, the vehicle, and the assembly.
- You will organize the internal follow-up of the project and the technical follow-up with the supplier.
- You will manage the internal commissioning and validation of the Item.
- You will participate in the overall development of the team portfolio through patents and new development ideas.
- You must be rigorous and well-organized, with a mind for innovation and EV awareness.
- You should have the ability to work in a project start-up environment with objectives that are in the process of being defined.
- You must hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering or demonstrate exceptional skill in the relevant fields.
- You should have experience with electrical simulation tools, 3D electrical/electromagnetic simulations, electrical drawing tools including See Electrical, Capital Harness.
- You should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in power electronics design, electrical/electronic simulation, and/or EMC design, experience with R, R10, J, and/or IEC is a plus.
- You should have good knowledge of CAN communication protocols; EVSE to OBC communications.
- You must master French and English (written and spoken).
- You should demonstrate strong interest in driving and designing recreational & performance.
- An estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
