About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our client's warehouse team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift to move, load, and unload materials, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
  • Perform receiving, shipping, and packaging duties, working closely with warehouse management systems.
  • Operate an RF Scanner and other handheld equipment to track inventory and manage warehouse operations.
  • Maintain and update daily equipment logs, ensuring accurate records and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Load product onto trucks according to loading process, ensuring proper quantities against bills of lading.
  • Stage product, rack finished goods, and move inventory within the warehouse, adhering to metric-driven standards.
  • Perform daily safety and operational checks of forklift, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Lift items that weigh up to 50 pounds, working in a cold environment.
Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Must be certified on a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and metric-driven environment.
  • Ability to work with warehouse management systems.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a cold environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment highly preferred.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Steel Toe boots required.
