About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter - Exterior Finisher to join our team at Dominion Masonry Ltd. As an Exterior Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and apply waterproofing cement or other materials as needed.
  • Painting: Apply paint to surfaces using brush or roller techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting or a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. Physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Experience with brush and roller painting equipment.
  • Surface Preparation: Experience with drywall taping and patching.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to work safely, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player.
