Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Nephrology/Medical Inpatient team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to complex patient populations, with a focus on renal patient populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients with complex medical needs, including renal patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process.
  • Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
  • Recent experience in Medical Nursing, with a focus on renal patient populations.
  • Ability to use the Nursing Process and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or recent continuing education in Medical Nursing.
  • Experience in Central Venous Line Management.
