About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at YOGI'S KITCHEN FOOD SERVICES (VICTORIA) LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are clean and sanitized to maintain a high level of food safety and quality.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized.
  • Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
