Job Title: Post Secondary Education Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Post Secondary Education Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our advising department, you will play a vital role in guiding students through their academic journey.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues, helping them to make informed decisions about their future.
  • Counsel students regarding personal and social issues, providing support and guidance during times of need.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Coordinate the provision of counseling and information services to students, parents, and teachers, promoting academic success and well-being.
  • Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest tests, providing valuable insights for students and educators alike.
  • Refer students to other specialized services when required, connecting them with resources that cater to their unique needs.
  • Develop guidance and counseling programs, fostering a supportive environment that encourages student growth and development.
  • Arrange for recruitment of graduating students by employers, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
  • Supervise field experience for graduate students in clinical and counseling areas, mentoring the next generation of professionals.
  • Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents, and educational institutions, promoting Pacific Link College's values and mission.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in post-secondary education counseling or a related field.

  • Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultures.
