Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in SSIS to join our team. As a key member of our data warehousing team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data transformation processes, ensuring data quality and reliability, and collaborating with the product team to enhance solution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prioritize and profile non-functional projects for scalability and optimization.
  2. Collaborate with the product team to enhance solution capabilities based on customer needs.
  3. Develop and maintain SSIS packages using Visual Studio SQL Server Integration projects.
  4. Design and implement data transformation processes including cleansing, aggregation, and validation.
  5. Ensure data quality and reliability through effective error handling and logging.
  6. Work cross-functionally to deliver customer-centric outcomes.
  7. Extract data from various sources including databases, flat files, APIs, and web services.
  8. Conduct data mapping and define conversion rules for system compatibility.
  9. Drive architectural and design improvements for enhanced customer experience.
  10. Break down projects into stories and deliver code that adheres to requirements and quality standards.
  11. Uphold product quality through best practices and technical excellence.
  12. Address and resolve production incidents as necessary.
  13. Create and maintain essential technical documentation.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Software or Database Developer.
  • 5 years experience and proven skills in Microsoft SSIS and SQL Server TSQL including DDL, DQL, DML, DCL, TCL.
  • Competence in .Net Framework and C# for SSIS Script Tasks.
  • Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, Git.
  • Experience in test-driven development environments.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and other Azure features is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving ability and agility in decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working in our office. We do not offer remote work options.
