Pharmacist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist I to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the safe and effective use of medications.

• Provide direct patient care and support the interdisciplinary team in optimizing patient medication regimens.
• Collaborate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote healthy lifestyle choices and empower patients to manage their medical conditions.
• Participate in professional practice development and growth, with support from dedicated Clinical Practice Leaders and pharmacy managers.
• Manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis, and provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems.
• Oversee activities related to compounding and packaging, and ensure the safe and effective preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services.

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
• Addition Prescribing Authority (APA) or awaiting results from APA application.
• Prac ID for lab ordering.
• Recent direct patient care experience (at least 1 year within the last 3 years).
• Recent Rural Hospital experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
