Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Westlake. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest level of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control production assets to optimize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Review and recommend changes to machinery, equipment, and production systems to improve performance.
- Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, or equipment to the Plant Manager or Production Superintendent.
- Record and report product damage or nonconformities to the Plant or Production Superintendent and Quality Supervisor.
- Comply with Quality Control policies and procedures.
- Participate in and contribute to effective production efficiency.
- Communicate with administrative, plant, and supervisory staff as required.
- Supervise hourly employees on the shift to maximize safety, product quality, and quantity while maintaining efficiency and cost control.
- Apply policies, rules, and collective agreements fairly and consistently.
- Communicate with hourly employees as required.
- Provide and participate in training as required.
- Comply with divisional rules, regulations, and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or Production Superintendent.
- Participate in developing metrics to track progress and improvement efforts and work on achieving targets using said metrics.
- Encourage crew engagement and participation in ongoing plant improvement processes.
- Provide and/or participate in training as required.
- Apply policies, rules, and collective agreements fairly and consistently.
- Create a positive example as relates to Westlake's Code of Business Ethics and Workplace Harassment/Discrimination Policy.
- Three to five years of related supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated individual with well-developed organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work a 12-hour continental shift (two weeks on days, 7am-7pm, and two weeks on nights, 7pm-7am).
