Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Dr. Christopher Pollock Inc. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, common areas, and other facilities
  • Restock linens, toiletries, and other supplies as needed
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning solutions to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities manager
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment: Our facilities are located in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting. The work environment is non-smoking, and we provide a safe and healthy work environment for our staff.

Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work in a standing position for long periods is also required.

Personal Suitability: We are looking for a punctual, dependable, and flexible individual who is able to work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent judgement, reliability, and a strong sense of values and ethics.

Support for Youths and Indigenous People: We provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
