As a Packaging Consultant, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability through prospecting, business retention, and account development. You will work closely with our sales teams and customers to identify new business opportunities and develop effective solutions to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify and secure new customers to build and grow a book of business through consultative selling of solutions.
- Business Retention: Maintain existing business through the utilization of Berlin's sales tools and resources.
- Account Development: Develop existing customer base and maximize sales and profitability through new and existing product offerings.
- Project Management: Collaborate effectively with Berlin Packaging's value-added sales resources and service divisions to complete complex sales transactions.
- Develop effective working relationships and become a sustaining resource for customers.
- Establish effective supplier relationships and product knowledge.
- Utilize Salesforce and other systems and tools effectively to win business.
- Responsible for Customer Thrill and support branch metrics.
- Fulfill employee portion of the 'Berlin Values'.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of successful consultative B2B sales and prospecting experience involving complex project management and relationship-based sales transactions that resulted in revenue growth.
- Strong business and financial acumen with a thirst for continuous knowledge and growth.
- Ability to effectively partner with internal teams and use sales tools to develop new accounts and retain existing business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, active listening, and confident presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and independent with an exceptional level of creativity, passion, and competitiveness to overcome challenges and achieve results.
- Ability to travel.
