We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Primary Care at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to admitted patients in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care accordingly
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient progress, report changes, and adjust care plans as needed
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation
