Environmental Impact Specialist

GHD is committed to solving the world's biggest challenges in the areas of water, energy, and urbanization.

Our Halifax office is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Canadian Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage biophysical and permitting scopes of work for clients in various industries.
  • Coordinate internal GHD environmental disciplines and external sub-consultants.
  • Attend and present in client meetings.
  • Coordinate and attend public consultation events.
  • Prepare environmental assessments, technical reports, and environmental discipline-specific documentation.
  • Prepare proposals for permitting and biophysical studies in Atlantic Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of project experience with a focus in the natural resource, mining, and energy sectors.
  • Experience in managing biophysical studies and permitting scopes in Atlantic Canada.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.
