Game Development Specialist

As a Game Designer at Ubisoft Entertainment, you will be responsible for crafting engaging gameplay experiences that captivate players. Your creative vision will bring game systems and mechanics to life, providing players with unique tools and opportunities to make meaningful choices.
You will work closely with the Creative Director to develop game systems that meet the targeted experience for the player, while adhering to production directives. Your expertise will be essential in creating a smooth and engaging player experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create game systems that meet the needs of the Creative Director and align with production directives.
- Standardize, document, and communicate game systems to the team, ensuring a unified understanding of the game's mechanics.
- Participate in the production of prototypes to validate game systems and assess their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Game Design Director to develop game design assets and ensure accurate and meaningful designs.
- Work with the programming team to determine game design needs and develop tools to implement and adjust game systems.
- Carry out other related tasks as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A college diploma in Game Design or a related field (an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is an asset).
- At least 3 years of experience in video game design or a related field (experience working on a AAA game is an asset).
- Strong knowledge of professional game-editing software (Unity3D, Unreal, CryEngine, etc.) and their related scripting tools.
- Experience shipping at least one AAA game and involvement in all phases of development.
- Adaptability and openness to realities playtests may uncover about your work.
- Creativity and a thirst for innovation.
