Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Canadian Accounting Consultants. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of business unit (BU) month-end close and related deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Controller to drive major initiatives and ensure the successful implementation of financial processes and systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with other BU finance teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Drive automation of processes and improve the utilization of systems to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Act as a key finance stakeholder in the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Requirements:

  • Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience, including 3 years of coaching/leading a team.
  • Practical experience in accounting deliverables in a large-scale/public company/IFRS environment.
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation, including process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
