We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Quickx Builder Inc. as a Bricklayer. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to provide a strong and durable foundation for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects, ensuring accurate calculations and efficient use of resources.
- Masonry Work: Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide a veneer facing, and build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations.
- Work at Heights: Work safely at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Work Conditions: The role requires working in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads, and performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Teamwork: The successful candidate will be a team player, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
