About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician Assistant to join our team at Specialty Pump & Power Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespersons and technicians in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
  • Move and transport tools, equipment, and materials as required
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help with cleaning machines and work areas
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Technician Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in areas with noise, dust, and odors.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required
  • Will train on the job
  • Physically demanding work with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic are essential
