We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant and Toddler Care Specialist to join our team at KIDSLAND CHILDCARE CENTRE LTD.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment. This includes creating engaging activities, promoting social and emotional development, and establishing strong relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
- Developing and implementing child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Leading activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest
- Engaging children in activities and promoting learning through play
- Guiding children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- Observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and preparing reports for parents and guardians
- Attending staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers
- Planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience an asset
- Assisting with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees
- Supporting social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees
- Offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
- Providing cultural competency training to all employees
We offer a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week and a language of work in English.
