We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Sylvan Learning Centre as an Elementary School Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate. They will be responsible for providing tutoring assistance, identifying children's individual learning needs, and teaching students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips. The successful candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, and have a strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently. They will also have a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting the growth and development of our students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tutoring assistance to students
  • Identify children's individual learning needs
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
