Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at KS Lally Transport Inc. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will include adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also perform repair work on heavy trucks, service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems. Additionally, you will assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing. Requirements

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • or equivalent experience
