We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at VAKA TRADING INC. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will be required to work 30-40 hours per week and possess excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Calculate and record fixed assets, as well as depreciate them accurately.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledgers and financial statements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
