Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at BC Masala Kitchen. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment. You will also be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash, sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, and washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesAs a Kitchen Helper, you will have the opportunity to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees. This program will provide you with valuable experience and skills in working with diverse groups of people.
Support for YouthsYou will also have the opportunity to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. This program will provide you with valuable experience and skills in working with young people.
Support for VeteransAdditionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans. This program will provide you with valuable experience and skills in working with Veterans.
Support for Indigenous PeopleYou will also have the opportunity to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people. This program will provide you with valuable experience and skills in working with Indigenous communities.
Support for Visible MinoritiesFurthermore, you will have the opportunity to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities. This program will provide you with valuable experience and skills in working with diverse groups of people.
This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
