Public Health Nursing Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled nurse who can provide exceptional care and services to clients in various settings. As a Public Health Nursing Specialist, you will work closely with communities, healthcare teams, and families to promote healthy behaviors and prevent diseases.
About the Job:
- Provide postnatal care, childhood, school, and adult immunizations
- Offer client and staff education/orientation on health topics
- Develop and implement influenza programming to protect vulnerable populations
- Conduct follow-up visits for communicable disease patients
- Offer travel health services and advice
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in public health nursing is required
- In the absence of a qualified candidate, we may consider candidates with equivalent experience in home care, labour and delivery, postpartum, pediatrics, community health or primary health
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree
- Nursing diploma is also acceptable
Licensure:
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Other Requirements:
- A valid Class 5 driver's license
Compensation:
This role comes with an estimated salary range of $42,040 - $52,440 based on the location and job requirements. This is a competitive salary that reflects the value we place on our employees' skills and expertise.
