Accounting Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at BCLC. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our department's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and record financial data, preparing financial reports and summaries as required.
  • Participate in the determination and implementation of preventative control measures and solutions to improve financial processes.
  • Act as a consultative partner, providing regular input and resolving routine issues for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform daily gaming transaction reviews, accounts for revenue and/or accounts receivable, and posts journal entries for accounting adjustments.
  • Complete various function-specific analyses and reports in support of other departmental functions.
Requirements:
  • An accredited accounting diploma or accounting technical diploma, or equivalent.
  • Active pursuit of an accredited professional accounting designation may be considered an asset.
  • 2-3 years of recent, related experience.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of corporate financial systems.
  • Strong computer skills – MS office suite.
