Job Summary

B.C. LTD. is seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sustainability in our hotel, motel, or resort setting.

Responsibilities
  • Select and purchase eco-friendly equipment and supplies that meet our sustainability goals.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are following sustainable housekeeping practices and providing excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate contract services with external vendors to ensure alignment with our sustainability objectives.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, with a focus on reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, prioritizing sustainable options whenever possible.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in a hotel, motel, or resort setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainability and environmental conservation, including knowledge of green technologies and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with workplace hazardous materials information systems (WHMIS) and other relevant regulations.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
