Job Summary:
To deliver high-quality educational experiences for children aged 2-6, adhering to the Government of Alberta licensing act and Montessori Children's House policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging activities and lessons to meet children's needs and interests.
- Participate in program planning and incorporate seasonal themes and children's input.
- Monitor and record children's activities and interactions to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain a patient and caring attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure the classroom environment is clean and well-maintained, with adequate materials and resources.
- Report incidents and accidents to the Director in a timely and professional manner.
- Pursue ongoing learning and training in the Montessori method and other childcare techniques.
Requirements:
- Valid Early Childhood Educator Level 1/2/3 certification.
- First Aid Certificate with AED.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience in the Montessori Method.
- Previous experience in childcare.
- Personal skills or interests that can be shared with children.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. We do not offer sponsorship at this time.
