Job Summary:
To deliver high-quality educational experiences for children aged 2-6, adhering to the Government of Alberta licensing act and Montessori Children's House policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging activities and lessons to meet children's needs and interests.
  • Participate in program planning and incorporate seasonal themes and children's input.
  • Monitor and record children's activities and interactions to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain a patient and caring attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the classroom environment is clean and well-maintained, with adequate materials and resources.
  • Report incidents and accidents to the Director in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pursue ongoing learning and training in the Montessori method and other childcare techniques.

Requirements:

  • Valid Early Childhood Educator Level 1/2/3 certification.
  • First Aid Certificate with AED.
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience in the Montessori Method.
  • Previous experience in childcare.
  • Personal skills or interests that can be shared with children.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. We do not offer sponsorship at this time.
