HMR Veterans Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Palmetto Patriots State Veterans Home.
About the Role
This position is responsible for performing day-to-day housekeeping activities in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations governing our facility. The successful candidate will work closely with the Administrator, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Director of Environmental Services to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces
• Restock supplies and linens as needed
• Assist with laundry and linen services
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
