Job Summary
Island Health is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage in Campbell River. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care. You will have the flexibility to work independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to participate in teaching and education.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in teaching and education opportunities with medical students and residents
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Certification in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM or FRCPC)
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
