Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team at Our Lady of Lake CES.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French Immersion to Grade 7 and 8 students, with a focus on developing their language skills and promoting a love of learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French Immersion to Grade 7 and 8 students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote language skills and academic achievement
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives

Requirements:

  • French Qualifications (FSL - Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate)
  • High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
  • Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures)
  • FSL - Part 2 or Specialist qualification
  • Knowledge of Balance Literacy and Numeracy practices in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
