About the Role

As a Culinary Specialist at Mucho Burrito, you will be responsible for ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with our culinary team to maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure that all food handling and preparation procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring they meet health and safety standards, and making any necessary repairs or improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling staff, coordinating menu planning, and controlling kitchen budgets.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Cooking Skills: Proven experience in cooking and preparing a variety of dishes, including meal preparation and presentation.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and maintain accurate records and inventory.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
